Today, October 4th, is National Taco Day! So why not celebrate it properly and dig into some delicious tacos for dinner tonight. And while you’re at it, save a little money as well.
In my humble opinion (IMHO for the younger set), it’s hard to beat the authentic Mexican tacos to be found at El Ranchito Meat Market and Restaurant at 5214 Satel Dr, Orlando, FL 32810. Nestled in the back of a neighborhood bodega, the tacos are served on corn tortillas and topped with chicken, carnitas, carne asada, al pastor, or other choices and garnished with cilantro, onion and lime.
They’re an amazing burst of flavor and every Tuesday they are only $1.25! Plus, you get free chips and salsa. They can’t be beat for amazing traditional tacos in Orlando (see photo above). And if you’re looking for a little more than a taco, indulge in a quesadilla or two as well (pictured below, Wednesday’s special is one taco and two quesadillas for just $5.99).
4 Rivers serves up delicious brisket tacos all day Tuesday and at The Coop you have your choice of chicken, catfish, shrimp or fried green tomatoes.
And if you’re looking for deals exclusive to National Taco Day, The Orlando Sentinel offers up the following:
