‘Edward Scissorhands’ 26th Anniversary Marked With Snapchat Filter

By Brad Haynes

It was exactly 26 years ago today, December 14, 1990, that the Tim Burton film Edward Scissorhands went into wide release as one of the most unusual Christmas-time blockbusters ever. It also marked the first collaboration of director Burton and actor Johnny Depp, who played the title character. Burton and Depp would go on to work with each other again many times over in films including Ed Wood, Sweeney Todd and Dark Shadows.

To celebrate the film’s anniversary, today you will find an Edward Scissorhands filter on social media app Snapchat. All you have to do is raise your eyebrows to get those “scissorhands” moving! If you’re on Snapchat, try it out today. If you’re NOT on Snapchat, it may give you a good reason to check out one of the most fun social media apps currently on the market!
