It was on this day in 1958 that John Lennon met Cynthia Powell. The two married in 1962. George Harrison was in attendance. They had one son, Julian, before divorcing in 1968.

Before he was a Monkee, Davy Jones was a teen actor, and appeared in an episode of “Ben Casey” on this day in 1965.

The Friends of Distinction sang “Grazing In The Grass” on “The Ed Sullivan Show.” December 27th, 1970.

On this day in 1975, The 4 Seasons released the single “December 1963 (Oh, What A Night),” featuring drummer Gerry Polci on lead vocals. Frankie Valli sings the bridge and the chorus.

On this day in 1985 Simon Le Bon of Duran Duran wed model Yasmin Parvanah. They have three daughters, Amber, Saffron and Tallulah.

And let’s jump all the way to this day in 2013, when singer Vanessa Carlton got married to Deer Tick lead guitarist John McCauley. The ceremony was performed by none other than Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks, who is an ordained minister.
