At age 31, Valerie Greene was a healthy businesswoman until a massive stroke paralyzed her left side and left her unable to speak. Doctors told her that she might never walk or talk again. But, through sheer will and determination, Valerie has recovered to become a passionate advocate for stroke awareness, an author, a motivational speaker and founder of a stroke support organization called Bcenter. She was instrumental in helping pass the Florida Stroke Act in 2004 and walked 13.1 miles in the Disney half marathon. She also has appeared on the major television networks inspiring others to live beyond stroke.
