Coldplay’s Chris Martin Duets W/ George Michael At 2017 Brits On ‘A Different Corner’

At the 2017 Brit Awards tonight, Coldplay’s Chris Martin paid tribute to the late George Michael with a performance of Michael’s 1986 solo hit “A Different Corner.”

Martin’s performance came after a tribute from Michael’s Wham! bandmates Andrew Ridgeley, Shirlie Holliman, and Helen DeMacque (Pepsi).

According to Billboard, after Martin began the song, video of Michael came on screen saying, “I never wanted to be someone else. I wanted to be a star … but I never really wanted to be someone else.”  Michael then remained on the screen where the song was finished as a duet with Michael and Martin.

And take a look here at Michael’s original video for “A Different Corner.”
