Singer/musician Isaac Hayes was jailed in Atlanta on this day in 1989 for failure to pay child support and alimony. The total he owed his ex-wife? $346,000.

On this day in 1999,  Garth Brooks attended baseball spring training camp as a non-roster player with the San Diego Padres.


And finally, it was on this day in 2003, that Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel sang together for the first time in ten years, as they received a Lifetime Achievement Grammy.
