George Thorogood turns 67 today and Rupert Holmes is 70.

On this day in 1970, The Jackson 5 released  “ABC.” It went on to become the second of the four consecutive #1’s they had at the beginning of their career.

Led Zeppelin released the album, “Physical Graffiti,” on this day in 1975. It features my favorite Zep song “Kashmir.”

Let’s jump to “Laverne and Shirley” on this day in 1981. Stephen Bishop and Herman’s Hermits’ Peter Noone were  guest-stars.

On this day in 1992, The U.S. Postal Service unveiled two versions of its proposed Elvis stamp for a public vote. The younger Elvis design won and was issued on January 8, 1993.
