The final episode of “M*A*S*H” became the most-watched television program in history, drawing more than 105-million viewers on this day in 1983. It has since been surpassed by multiple Super Bowl broadcasts.

It was this day in 1986 that George Michael announced that Wham! would officially split that summer.

On this day in 1987 “Livin’ On A Prayer” by Bon Jovi was the #1 song.

Phil Collins left the band Genesis on this day in 1996.

It was this day in 1998, that Garth Brooks was the host and musical guest on “Saturday Night Live.”

The Doors were honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame on this day in 2007.
