An Audio/Visual Trip Through Changing Musical Tastes

By Brad Haynes

Thanks to current Lake Mary resident Toni Tennille for tipping us off on this one via her wonderful Facebook page!

Website The Pudding has an extremely cool audio/visual look at the chart-topping music between the years 1958-2016, giving a glimpse into the changing musical sounds through the decades. The longer a song stayed at number one, the more of that song you will tend tohear.

Check it out, and make sure to go to 1975 where you will hear Captain and Tennille’s “Love Will Keep Us Together” take over the top of the charts. You will also find them again in 1980 with “Do That To Me One More Time.”

It’s never been more fun to watch (and listen) as the years fly by!
