Sheena Easton is turning 58 today and KISS guitarist Ace Frehley hits the big 66.

One of my fave songs ever hit the radio on this day in 1967, as Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell released “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” the first of their 11 recorded duets.

Simon & Garfunkel gave us “Mrs. Robinson” on this day in 1968.

On this day in 1969 Joe Cocker made his North American television debut, singing “Feelin’ Alright,” on “The Ed Sullivan Show.”

On this day in 1979 “Reunited” by Peaches & Herb was the #1 song.

Ringo Starr married actress Barbara Bach on this day in 1981. Paul McCartney and wife Linda, George Harrison and Harry Nilsson were in attendance.

We end on a sad note. On this day in 2000 we lost the lady that gave us “Turn The Beat Around.” Vicki Sue Robinson died of cancer at just 45.
