Elvis and Priscilla were married on this day in 1967, at the Aladdin Hotel. Elvis was 32 and Priscilla was 21.

On this day in 1973, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, with former Guess Who guitarist Randy Bachman, released their first album which was self-titled.

On this day in 1976 “Let Your Love Flow” by the Bellamy Brothers was the #1 song.

Elton John became the first foreign pop music artist to perform in Israel on this day in 1979. He was the first to play in Russia three weeks later.

On this day in 1989, police in California were called to a Zales Jewellers store after employees reported a suspicious person. He turned out to be Michael Jackson, who had donned a wig, fake mustache, false teeth and eyelashes to go shopping.

Let’s jump to this day in 2003. While being treated for kidney failure, Barry White suffered a stroke that affected his speech and the right side of his body. He died two months later.

And on this day just two years ago, The Main Event Tour began in Las Vegas, featuring New Kids on the Block, TLC and Nelly.
