Steppenwolf made their U.S. television debut, on this day in 1968, lip-syncing “Born To Be Wild” on “American Bandstand.”

Led Zeppelin kicked off their North American tour on this day in 1973 in Atlanta. They flew between dates on their own Boeing 720 passenger jet, complete with a bar, shower,  a 30-foot lounge, and a white fur bedroom. Fill ‘er up bartender.

On this day in 1985, the legendary Apollo Theatre, reopened following a $10 million makeover.

On this day in 2011, Marie Osmond re-married her first husband Stephen Craig. They were first wed in 1982, but Marie filed for divorce in 1985. She wore the same dress for this wedding as she did in 1982.
