Big Birthday shout outs to Enrique Iglesias, drummer Alex Van Halen, Philip Bailey, of Earth Wind and Fire, and Florida resident Toni Tennille, who is 77 today.

The last Beatles album of original material was released on this day in 1970.  “Let It Be” was their twelfth album, but was actually recorded before “Abbey Road, which was released the year before. 

On this day in 1970 “ABC” by the Jackson 5 was the #1 song.

The Steve Miller Band recorded “Take The Money And Run,” on this day in 1976.

We jump to 1978, when Donny Osmond married Debra Glenn. They have five children and are still together.

On this day in 1999, Dana Plato, who played Kimberly on “Diff’rent Strokes,” died of a self administered drug overdose at age 34.

Let’s roll with it to this day in 2008, when Steve Winwood and Earth Wind & Fire’s Maurice White and Philip Bailey received honorary doctorates in music from Boston’s Berklee College of Music.

And you have to love Betty White. It was on this day in 2010, that she hosted “Saturday Night Live.” At age 88, that made her the oldest ever to host the show.
