It’s a trend that more female millennials have begun following: they don’t shave their underarms or legs. This hairy armpit thing is something Hollywood has been pushing on us for several years and it seems to finally be taking hold. Thanks Madonna and Julia Roberts.

A study by Mintel shows one in four women aged 16 to 24 have opted to stop shaving, a percentage that has increased since 2013. A big reason behind the “au naturel” push is the wellness movement. More people find themselves worried about the chemicals in their food and products, plus, some women cite a push back against society “defining them.”

On the flipside, the study found men are purchasing more body and hair products and they also have past women in purchasing fashion clothing. Allrighty then!

What is going on? Heck if I know but if you’re going to follow a trend, when you’re between 16 and 24 is the age to do it and not when you’re 50-something like Madonna. ~grace
