When does freedom of speech become hate speech? Offensive? Threatening?
Comedian-actress Kathy Griffin has now apologized after her video received a huge wave of backlash from both sides condemning what she initially called “art.” Is it art when the “artiste” is known for her disdain for President Trump or is it a threatening message? TMZ posted the video if you care to see it.
My mom always said to me, “Think of the consequences before you act.” That has saved me from many bad decisions. Clearly, Griffin could have used my mom’s parenting growing up.
What will be the consequences for Griffin? We have to wait and see, but for now, both sides of the aisle are condemning Griffin’s “art.”
I think what bothers me the most is people forget, whether you agree or disagree with President Trump’s politics, he is still someone’s husband and father. ~grace
