This year Friday, June 2nd is National Doughnut Day!
The BEST part of it all is – FREE DOUGHNUTS!
Here are some places you can get hot, delicious, creamy, and free doughnuts on National Doughnut Day!
National Doughnut Day was established in 1938 by the Salvation Army in Chicago, to honor women who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I.
Let me give you the inside scoop on some of the “Great Donut Deals!”
At participating Dunkin’ Donuts it’s the same story, you get a free classic doughnut of your choice with the purchase of any beverage all day Friday (June 2nd) while supplies last. Click here to find a Dunkin’ Donuts near you. Also, check out their two new flavors while you’re at it – check out two of their brand new donuts. The Vanilla Cake Batter Donut, which is a yeast shell, that vanilla-flavored cake batter filling, chocolate frosting and confetti sprinkles…and the Dunkin’ Donuts Sprinkles Donut, another yeast-style doughnut, this one ring-shaped, but just simply frosted with white icing and topped with pink and orange D-shaped sprinkles.
At Krispy Kreme, they’re a little bit more liberal. Get one free doughnut of your choice, (no purchase necessary) at participating locations. Click here to learn more and find participating shops.
Cumberland Farms is giving away a free doughnut with purchase of any dispensed beverage, including hot or iced coffee, or fountain or frozen drinks as well. You can get your yummies there from 5 to 10 a.m. But it’s only valid at “new concept” and remodeled Cumberland Farms, which you can find by clicking here.
Since arriving in Central Florida, Wawa has made a splash with their stores. Many “former northerners” know the name because of their coffee, and their sandwiches, but…on National Doughnut Day…you can get yours there as well, with the purchase of any beverage from the drinks counter. Find your nearest Wawa here!
The Donut King (2 Central Florida locations) is hooking you up with a glazed donut…and here…No purchase is necessary. You may want to try one of their glazed red velvet ones, too! There is a Donut King at 3716 Howell Branch Ct, Winter Park, FL 32792 (open 5am-9pm), and another at 208 S Hwy 27, Minneola, FL 34715 (this one is open 24 hours).
And here are some other places you can go and get “doughnuted.”
There’s also Donuts to Go at 1400 West First Street in Sanford, Bakery Plus, 915 East Michigan Street in Orlando, Oscar’s Original Donuts at 708 South 14th Street in Leesburg, Java Express located at 1440 South Ridgewood Avenue in Daytona Beach, Sip N’ Dip in St. Cloud at 1001 13th Street, and Donuts to Go at 1400 West First Street in Sanford.
Ahhh, you say you’re vegan?! I got YOU covered too! Try Valhalla Bakery. They’re at 2603 E. South Street in Orlando. It’s a 100 percent vegan bakery that promises it doesn’t put kale in any of its desserts. But, they DO make some pretty awesome doughnuts, including raspberry sprinkle, Thin Mint and Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
