Alanis Morissette and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer  Ron Wood are having birthdays today.

We start way back in 1963 with the #1 song on the radio by Lesley Gore called “It’s My Party,” the first #1 for producer Quincy Jones.

The Beatles held a party, on this day in 1967, to celebrate the UK release of “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.” The Album was released the next day here in the States and tomorrow marks it’s 50th anniversary.

On this day in 1972, Pink Floyd began recording their “Dark Side Of The Moon” album. The first track recorded was “Us and Them.”

Wings released “Live and Let Die” on this day in 1973, reuniting with Beatle producer George Martin, who produced the song and arranged the orchestral break.

Birthday boy Ron Wood began his first tour with the Rolling Stones, as guitarist, on this day in 1975 at Louisiana State University.

We jump to this day in 1985, in Dublin, Ireland, Bruce Springsteen began the European leg of his Born in the USA world tour.

On this day in 1992, Rod Stewart welcomed the arrival of his fifth child, daughter Renee, by his second wife, Rachel Hunter. Here she is all grown up.
