Hank Deutschendorf, one of the twins who played Baby Oscar in Ghostbusters II, has died.
According to multiple sources, the 28-year-old twin, whose brother accompanied him acting in the film, has committed suicide.
He reportedly killed himself at his home in Escondido, California.
Hank’s twin, William, says that he’d been battling schizoaffective disorder, which is a combination of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. William says that his brother “fought for his life every day” and experienced depression, hallucinations, delusions, and mania.
The two brothers ran a martial arts school in the San Diego, California area. Hank was named after his internationally known uncle John Denver, whose real name was Henry John Deutschendorf.
Hank also appeared in a documentary earlier this year called Cleanin’ Up The Town: Remembering Ghostbusters.
This is a developing story. More details should be released soon. We will keep you updated as more information is available.
