Anyone that knows me knows I absolutely love dogs! I love animals but dogs just steal my heart! And when I read stories like this one it just reaffirms my belief that dog’s are godsend’s and not only man’s BF but real angels!

A dog named, STORM, jumped into the Long Island Sound, the body of water between Connecticut and Long Island, to rescue a young deer stuck in the water. OMG!

“Storm just plunged into the water and started swimming out to the fawn, grabbed it by the neck, and started swimming to shore,” the dog’s owner, Mark Freeley, told CBS New York. For more great photos and posts check out Storm’s proud owner’s Facebook page.

When you see what this beautiful dog Storm did afterwards makes me realize even more how dogs have the purest of unselfish hearts. There’s more to the story and what happened to the fawn afterward is covered by CBSLOCAL2.

I know my German Shepherds are so in tuned with their surroundings and especially with the hubby and me. If I’m under the weather or pensive, they are by my side trying to cheer me up, usually by bringing me their toy. And you know, it works every time. Or maybe they want me to get more exercise? Hmm, either way thank God for dogs. ~grace
