Happy Monday!! Let’s get our music history started…

On this day in 1974, J. Geils Band frontman Peter Wolf marries movie star Faye Dunaway in a Beverly Hills courtroom. The couple divorced in 1979 and Faye married the photographer that had taken pictures of her and Peter two years earlier, the guy pictured below.

On this day in 1976 “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” by Elton John and Kiki Dee hits #1 for the first of a four week run.

On this day in 1987 “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” by U2 was the #1 song.

We jump to this day in 1995, when James Smith, A.K.A.  LL Cool J, married Simone Johnson. They are still together and a huge congrats to LL on his Kennedy Center Honor. He is the first rapper ever to receive the award. Here’s the couple hanging with Oprah.

And finally, on this day in 2003, The Osmonds are awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. Donnie is rockin’ the neck brace courtesy of a surfing accident in Hawaii that almost cost him his voice.
