Wherein We Learn A New Word: Hatfishing

I love words. I collect them. You may have noticed I can be a bit verbose from time to time. 😉

So when I heard the term “hatfishing” today I was delighted! And I knew what it meant almost immediately. Think about the term “catfishing” (luring someone into a relationship with a fake social media profile).

See, I worked with this guy in North Carolina for almost six years and never once saw him without his Kansas City Royals ball cap. I always suspected he was entirely bald on top under there or was probably thinning rapidly.

So a guy that’s “hatfishing” looks good with the cap on, but take it off… You get the picture.

Guys, you’re not fooling anyone anymore than any guy with a combover.

This seems appropriate on Sean Connery‘s birthday. Remember, guys don’t need hair (or a hat) to be handsome.
