Is this really necessary? I understand keeping us safe but this is a tad uncomfortable.
Transportation Security Administration, TSA, has rolled out their new security measures and they call it “enhanced” I call it invasive! I went through this earlier this year and I remember thinking at the time, “okay, this is uncomfortable.” The TSA female agent did describe what she was going to do before doing it but honestly, it didn’t make it any less uh, creepy.
The Weekly Standard did a report on the the TSA going for “second base.” Reporter John McCormack describes the experience exactly as I experienced it as well, “the agent runs his hand inside a passenger’s waistband and also runs his hand up the back of each leg until he “meets resistance” and then does the same from the front of each leg. And then the TSA agent swipes the front of his hands 3 or 4 times right over the zipper area of one’s Gap Outlet comfort-stretch khakis. That last part was the most unpleasant.” In my case, it was my breast area. Yikes!
Again, I understand the security angle but is this really necessary especially when they have advance screening technology that can see what I had for dinner! Sigh. ~grace
