One’s man trash is another man’s, or company’s, cash! American Eagle is planning a new apparel collection crafted from “cutting floor scraps and excess product that would otherwise have landed in landfills.”

American Eagle has rolled out  apparel company Atelier & Repairs Thursday. Maurizio Donadi, co-founder of Atelier & Repairs, told Moneyish,“The clothing industry is the second biggest polluter in the world, and it is responsible for about 10% of carbon emissions, and this made me think deeply about what I want to do to help.”

I honestly really don’t think about what my clothes is made of as long as it’s comfortable, doesn’t itch and pretty! I will say this, when I heard it was made of recycled items I immediately pictured the Tin Man from The Wizard Of OZ! ~grace
