Celebrate Bully Breeds: National Pit Bull Awareness Day October 28th

By Sybil

National Pit Bull Awareness Day is an annual event held on the last Saturday in October.

Locally, The Orlando Bully Rescue has a fun-filled day planned. It begins at 8 AM at Crane’s Roost, with the Halloween Pitty Walk. All breeds are welcome and we’d love to see everybody dressed in their favorite costumes. Costume judging will include Most Original, Scariest, and Funniest.

Please, no retractable leashes. Those things ARE scary. Google flexi-leash injuries if you have a strong stomach. But I digress (again and perpetually).

Later in the day, Deadly Sins Brewing (750 Jackson St, Winter Park) will host a get-together with food trucks and adult beverages (a portion of the sales will be donated to rescue) and a good time will be had by all.

NPBAD is an awareness campaign partially designed to change minds and opinions about bully breeds for good!

Who’s a good dog? Yes, you are a good good dog!
