Today is actually the heaviest travel day of the year, the day before Thanksgiving.
An estimated 400 people may lose their lives due to impaired (drinking or drugs) driving so don’t do that, and be very aware of others on the road. Even before cell phones, my Dad taught me to view every other driver as if they could kill you. Because they can.
Please don’t drink and drive – no matter HOW much your uncle gets on your last nerve. 😉
AAA says that nearly 51 million Americans will travel at least 50 miles or further today or tomorrow. That’s more than a three percent increase over last year.
Out of the Top Ten Thanksgiving destinations The City Beautiful is again, NUMBER ONE! Followed by Anaheim, CA. The busiest airports and car rentals? Orlando and Los Angeles.
Anyone else see a common cause? The parks get busier, earlier, every single year.
Please be safe out there. We want you back home and safe.
(Adding: My dog Boris usually wore a harness that clipped to the seat belt and rarely if ever hung out the window. This was on our street.)
