It’s hard to believe that it was a year ago today that Carrie Fisher, everyone’s beloved Princess Leia Organa, was pronounced dead in a Los Angeles hospital.

On the anniversary of her death, plenty of tributes showed up on social media, using the hashtag #CarrieOnForever.

Fisher’s Star Wars co-star, Mark Hamill used a quote he said in the most recent film, The Last Jedi, to pay tribute, saying, “No one’s ever really gone.”

In a piece for The Hollywood Reporter earlier this year, Hamill said, “Like I say, she was a handful. She was high maintenance. But my life would have been so much drabber and less interesting if she hadn’t been the friend that she was.”

Take a look at some of the other social media tributes below.
