In the British city of Bristol, an upscale portion of the community installed spikes onto trees so that the “expensive cars” of its human residents would be protected from pigeon poo. Presumably other birds will be prevented from perching and pooing as well.

The spikes were installed by management company Hillcrest Estate Management. A portion of the public is predictably pissed off.

Appropriately.
