Be honest, we’ve all seen that kid in a store that won’t stop screaming, crying or yelling at the top of their lungs and the parent is either oblivious or just accustomed to the annoying screech! We wish we could say or do something but we know better, well this one man did not hold back but now he’s got a slew of charges against him.
Newnan, GA police arrested 62-year-old Juan Guvarra Martinez after he allegedly spanked a stranger’s child at a Kroger’s grocery store.
The father, Logan Morris, said he and his 2 yr old son were in the check out aisle and his son was asking for candy. Morris said, “I told him, ‘No, it’s too late bud,’” and that’s when Morris said the man behind them in the line grabbed his son’s hand, spun him around and spanked him three times.
Morris said after Martinez spanked his boy he said, “That’s how we deal with kids in Mexico.”
According to the police report, Martinez had bloodshot eyes and a “strong odor of an alcoholic beverage.” Martinez was charged with battery, disorderly conduct, and obstruction of officers.
Wow, once again, alcohol induced bad behavior. As for the kid, sigh, Mr. Morris is correct, it’s up to him how to discipline his child. ~grace
