A volcano on Indonesia’s Sumatra island erupted yesterday, sending a clouds of gas more than 3 miles down its slopes.

Mount Sinabung also sent a plume of thick ash miles into the atmosphere during the latest eruption. There has been no loss of life reported with this eruption. Islanders haven’t always been so lucky. This active volcano is active.
