I caught a bad stomach bug in December ever since then I have become so paranoid and find myself washing my hands often or using hand sanitizer. Well, after this latest study, oh boy, I’m really paranoid now! Check it out and Beware!
A new study reveals your work desk could contain 400 time more bacteria than a toilet seat. OMG! Are you serious?
Researchers found the average desktop has 20,961 germs per square inch in addition to 3,295 on the keyboard, 1,676 on the mouse, and 25,127 on the phone.
All of those numbers are impressive compared to the 127 germs per square inch found on the average toilet seat. Also, a survey of 1,000 office workers by Pinterland.co.uk reveals just 33% followed guidelines about cleaning up their desk while ten percent admit to never cleaning it. We have one of those guys that work with us (I won’t mention any names…Domino).
So who did the study find was the dirtiest of all your coworkers? Sales people. Ew! Here are other pics of our desks.
Note to self: spray everything before you work and after your done. ~grace
