Vince Vaughn made waves after a video of him talking it up with Donald Trump at the NCAA college football championship game went viral.

In the video, Vaughn is seen chatting with President Trump and his wife Melania in the box seats at the LSU-Clemson game, where the No. 1 Tigers cinched a 42-25 victory over No. 3 Clemson.

The clip shows the 49-year-old actor chatting and shaking hands with Trump, before bidding the president and first lady farewell with a smile.

The clip went viral, with a number of conservative commentators voicing support for the actor.

“Vince Vaughn is one of my favorites,” tweeted Dana Loesch, former spokesperson for the National Rifle Association. “Back off the canceling, stage five clingers.”

Vaughn publicly supported Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky. and former presidential candidate Ron Paul in 2015.

That same year the “True Detective” season 2 star spoke candidly about his libertarian views in GQ.

This isn’t the first time a star encounter with a president got people talking. Back in October, Ellen Degeneres surprised fans when she was spotted at a Denver Cowboys and Green Bay Packers game with former President George W. Bush.

Ellen addressed criticism she received on an episode of her show.

“It may not seem like a big deal for a celebrity to attend a football game, but I never leave my house, so it is a big deal,” she joked at first, before going on to defend her friendship with Bush.

“I’m friends with George Bush, in fact, I’m friends with a lot of people who don’t share the same beliefs that I have,” said Degeneres, who received the Carol Burnett lifetime achievement award  for her contributions to television at the 2020 Golden Globes.

“Just because I don’t agree with someone on everything doesn’t mean I’m not going to be friends with them,” the talk show host went on to say.
