We start on this day in 1981, when REO Speedwagon hit No.1 with "Keep On Loving You," the group's first No.1. They would do it again with "Can't Fight This Feeling."

Let's stay on that day and jump over to "American Bandstand," where the special guests were Juice Newton and Deniece Williams.

On this day in 1987, U2 released "With Or Without You." The song would hit #1 and stay there for 3 weeks and is also listed at number 132 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Songs Of All Time.

On this day in 1997 "Wannabe" by the Spice Girls hit #1. The song went on to hit #1 in 21 different countries.

On this day in 2000, with the release of their third album, No Strings Attached, 'N Sync sets the record for first-week sales with 2.4 million copies sold. That record would hold for 15 years until Adele sells more than 3 million units of 25.

And finally, it was on this day in 2011, that singer/songwriter Bryan Adams received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Fellow Canadian Wayne Gretzki was on hand to introduce Bryan.
