We start on this day in 1965, The Four Tops hit No.1 with "I Can't Help Myself." The band had only done two takes of the song in the studio and were supposed to do more the next day. That session never took place and what you hear on the radio is take two.

Carole King started a five week run at No.1, on this day in 1971, with "It's Too Late / I Feel The Earth Move." Both songs were from her Tapestry album that has sold over $25 million copies worldwide.

The Rocky Horror Show musical debuted on this day in 1973 at London's Royal Court Theatre. Two years later, it started a brief Broadway run and in 1975 was adapted into the cult classic film The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

On this day in 1987, Mötley Crüe begin their Girls, Girls, Girls tour with a show in Tucson, Arizona. Whitesnake is the opening act, but later on the tour, a new band called Guns N' Roses takes that slot and the legend is born!!

And finally, it was on this day in 2010, that the Backstreet Boys join New Kids on the Block at NKOTB's show in Radio City Music Hall. The response is so great that the re-formed bands begin touring together... as NKOTBSB. They earned over $75 million on their joint tour, which placed them as the 8th biggest tour of the year.
