On this day in 1977, Jimmy Buffett marries his second wife Jane. She has co-written and couple of songs with Jimmy and they are still together.

On this day in 1988, George Michael has his 8th #1 of the 80's with the song "Monkey." The only artist to have more No.1's than Mr. Michael was Michael, who's "Dirty Diana" gave him his 9th #1 of the 80's.

We lost one of the greatest guitar players ever, on this day in 1990, as 35 year old Stevie Ray Vaughan was killed when the helicopter he was flying in, hit a man-made ski slope while trying to navigate through dense fog. Here's on of my fave songs that only Stevie Ray can do.

Pearl Jam released their debut album Ten, on this day in 1991. The album produced three hit singles: "Alive," "Even Flow," and "Jeremy," and has sold over 13 million copies in US alone.

And lastly, it was on this day in 1992, that The Heights, a drama series about a group of working-class youths struggling to form a rock band, premieres on the FOX network. The show didn't last long, but did produce a #1 single with its theme song, "How Do You Talk To An Angel."
