On this day in 1987, The acclaimed Chuck Berry documentary Hail! Hail! Rock 'n' Roll premieres in US theaters. He also gets his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame that same day.

The song started as a country ballad and morphed into the power ballad we know and love. It was on this day in 1988, that Def Leppard would get their only #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100, as "Love Bites" would grab the top spot for one week. "Pour Some Sugar On Me" peaked at #2.

Eddie Vedder flies from his home in San Diego to Seattle, on this day in 1990, where he meets his Pearl Jam bandmates for the first time and starts a week of recording that becomes the bulk of their debut album, Ten.

On this day in 2012, Record label bosses at EMI recalled a vinyl, anniversary edition of The Beatles' "Love Me Do," after discovering they had accidentally pressed a version that included session musician Andy White playing drums instead of Ringo Starr. Copies of the disc featuring the wrong drummer have been selling on eBay ever since.

Happy 33rd birthday to Bruno Mars. We don't play him, but I like his old school style. He's sold over 130 million records and only Elvis Presley had his first 5 number one's faster. He knows how to rock a Super Bowl half time show too!
