We start on this day in 1969 when Elvis would hit #1 with "Suspicious Minds." It's his first chart-topper in 7 years and the last he had here in the US, giving him 18 #1's in all.

On this day in 1975, Elton John started a three week run at No.1 with "Island Girl," his 5th US No.1. The song that "Island Girl" knocked out of the top spot was "Bad Blood" by Neil Sedaka, a song that Elton sang backround vocals for.

Bruce Springsteen scored his first No.1 US album on this day in 1980 with "The River," featuring the song "Hungry Heart," which would peak at #5 on the Hot 100.

On this day in 1986, playing a character named Cinnamon, Stacey Q performs "Two of Hearts" on The Facts of Life episode "Off-Broadway Baby."

And, it was on this day in 1997, that Scandinavian dance-pop act Aqua started a four-week run at No.1 with "Barbie Girl." The song was a massive world-wide hit, selling more than 8 million copies world-wide.
