Where do you begin to praise Gary Sinise and his determination to help our military men, women and families? The Gary Sinise Foundation has done so many amazing things that make your heart skip a beat. The best part is Gary's charity makes you want to join in showing the love!

Gary Sinise is well-known for playing Lieutenant Dan in “Forrest Gump” but these days the actor is appreciated for his philanthropic work too. He works to honor and help U.S. military veterans and established the Gary Sinise Foundation, which supports vets, first responders, their families, and communities.

One of their programs, the “Snowball Express,” focuses on kids. It launched in 2017 and has taken more than 1,750 children of fallen soldiers on free five-night trips to Disney World with their surviving parents.

“The most important thing about Snowball Express is that these children don’t feel alone,” Sinise explains. “There’s a lot of healing and a lot of bonding and a lot of friendship that goes on that helps them through the rest of the year.”

I can't even fathom what a family must go through when they get that knock on the door to let them know their precious loved one has been lost. So if it's only for a moment the kids and surviving parent can escape the reality then what an amazing miracle. Thank you Gary Sinise and your foundation you are a true blessing.
