Popular "Pinky" dolphin was seen with a pink baby calf in Louisiana ship channel.

I get so happy when I see dolphins playing at Jetty Park in Cape Caneveral or when we've gone out boating to see them playing! I would definitely lose it if I ever saw a rare pink dolphin! What a gift to see such a unique creature!

Well, residents in Louisiana are lucky because they have a resident pink dolphin named "Pinky." Pinky gained popularity about 12 years ago and has a great following on social media of course!

Recently, Pinky was seen playing in the Louisiana ship channel with a baby PINK CALF!  The birth of the calf gives hope that calves have inherited their mother's genetic mutation which would help in the effort of increasing the population of rare species.

If you would like to be a fan of PINKY and her new baby you can follow her on her FACEBOOK page here. I just clicked LIKE! I'd click LOVE but it's not an option! ~grace
