I love animals. I've grown to love all animals even the one's that scare me! I don't want any of them to be harmed or treated cruely. While I'm not a vegan or a PETA member, I still believe in us being humane in how we treat our creatures that have blessed our lives. Whether it's your pet dog or cat, or if you own animals for an entertainment business or you own a farm that's a business, any treatment causing bodily harm to these loving animals will now be a federal felony. Finally!

A huge win for all of us animal lovers as the U.S. Senate unanimously passed a bill on yesterday that would make animal cruelty a federal felony. The bill passed the House two weeks ago and and now heads to President Donald Trump's desk.

The  "Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture (PACT) Act" would make it easier to prosecute those involved in the gruesome killing of animals. Specifically, the bill bans the intentional acts of crushing, burning, drowning, suffocating, impaling or otherwise subjecting animals to serious bodily harm.

I truly believe if you can be this inhumane to an innocent animal then you are not far from harming a person. I can hardly wait for President Trump to sign this bill. Thank you sir. Thank you Congress. Finally, an issue we can all agree on! ~grace
