What is happening to our youth? Before looting was feared after somekind of an interuption of our dialy lives like a natural disaster or an electric black out, apparently that is no longer needed.

Philadelphia police released a video a group of approximately 60 teenage boys and girls wreaking havoc in a Walgreens — knocking items off the shelves and rushing out of the store without paying for merchandise.

The looting occured on July 4th. In the video you see the teens deliberately knocking merchandise to the floor and grabbing whole trays of snacks and other items to either throw or pocket.

Police say that some of the teens "threw merchandise at some store employees, injuring them.". Philadelphia police Capt. Sekou Kinebrew said a cashier tried to intervene and was hit in the head with a glass bottle, according to ABC6. Capt. Kinebrew said an estimated cost of the damage and stolen property is between $6,000 and $7,000. Police are asking the public for help in identifying the looters.

When I read or see videos like this of teens who think they are entitled or can do whatever with no regard for consequence or laws, I initially get angry, then I get worried and ask, "Why?" Why do these teens behave lke this? Finally, I become sad. If you're child thinks it's okay to behave this way; steal what is not theirs, what is going on in their lives? What is lacking? A parent? God? Morals? Sigh. ~grace
