If you love wasting time on the internet with memes, you ought to be concerned about a new law that’s going through Congress. The “Copyright Alternative in Small-Claims Enforcement Act of 2019” would go after people who post memes with copyrighted material a fine of up to $30,000. So, lawyers are going to create copyrighted memes and bait unwitting people share them...BAM! Sued for $30k! The scumbags in Congress and their greedy lawyer pals are essentially gouging the public. While the bill hasn't been passed yet, the clock is ticking.
